4 mistakes that damage a new surface
- Turning the wheel while parked. It twists a soft surface. Roll forward while you steer.
- Heavy loads too soon. A moving truck parked on new asphalt too soon can leave cracks or dents.
- Sealing new asphalt early. Wait 6 to 12 months for the first coat.
- Sprinklers on fresh sealer. Turn them off until the coat has dried.
